Raymond Lei Yang

(Founding Partner)

Raymond is a successful serial entrepreneur in China. After founding several companies both in China and US, he became the CEO of Linktone (NASDAQ: LTON) in 2003. He turned the company around and only 11 months after he joined Linktone he successfully took the company public on the NASDAQ and since grew Linktone into a high profit and high growth company. Prior to founding Taishan, Raymond was an active Business Angel and Venture Partner at Northern Light Venture Capital, managing a US$120 million venture fund. He also received many awards, such as "China Top 10 CEOs", "2005 Most Influential People to New Economy“ and “2007 Best Angel Investor”. Raymond is currently managing a later stage fund “Navi Capital Partners”.

Sebastian Kübler

(Founding Partner)

Sebastian joined the Mountain Group in 2006 as an Investment Manager and assistant to the CEO, Dr. Cornelius Boersch. He is responsible for several portfolio companies in the field of Internet & New Media as well as Telecom & Technology. Before this, he founded an internet company and also was working at the Corporate Business Development of Siemens China. Prior to this, he worked with Siemens Management Consulting, Deloitte Consulting, SAP Asia-Pacific and Commerzbank AG. He studied Business Administration at ESB Reutlingen and Lancaster University Management School and currently works on his Phd. about Business Angels in China.

Jason Hsu

(Venture Partner)

Jason serves as Managing Partner of Chinese Founders Fund and facilitates CFF’s businesses in greater China areas. He has recently led CFF to form a strategic partnership with Taishan and also serves as a venture partner. Previously working in Chinbid as a VP, Jason has a great exposure in the beginning of Chinese Internet era. Jason had also worked in traditional sectors and obtained solid field experiences in trading and prospecting projects with renowned enterprises such as NIKE. Jason specializes in organizing resources and strengthening management capabilities in startup companies. CFF focuses on T.M.T. and Green industries, initiates cross-border business models and provides start-up’s first outside source of seed and early stage resources & financing. Headquartered in Beijing, CFF has proven expertise in identifying and helping extraordinary entrepreneurs. Jason holds a MBA degree from the US.

Ocean Meng An

(Venture Partner)

Ocean is an active angel investor and successful entrepreneur. After founding E4 ticketing Corporation, Gehua Ticketing Corp. and Gehua Media and Entertainment, Ocean is currently an active business angel investor. His past portfolio includes E4 ticketing, Taiji Resources,5i5j, Top100 and currently holding over 10 other startups. Gehua ticketing was acquired by Ticketmaster in 2008. He is also an influential investor in live event industry and TV production industry. Projects he invested including Pavarotti Farewell Tour, Sarah Brightman World Tour, TV show Chinese Idol etc.. Ocean has a Master from UCLA. Taishan Media, entertainment, Energy and resources expert.

Chris Hong Wen

(Venture Partner)

Chris belongs to first group of internet entrepreneurs in 90s, who have successfully founded innovative startups. Joining China Mobile in 2001, Chris extended into mobile industry, where he helped various multinationals to enter China, including Index and Disney. Chris has been an active business angel for many startups. He brought his expertise in Internet, Wireless communication, new media and clean energy into Taishan.

Richard Yang

(Venture Partner)

Richard was one of the founders of New Oriental Education & Technology Group, a Chinese success story in the education industry. The company went public at New York Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of about 2 bn USD. For the last years, Richard was also active as a Business Angel especially in the education and online sector. He holds a Bachelor of Beijing University, a Master of Tsinghua and a PhD from Frankfurt University in Law.

Jackie Liang Chen

(Vice President)

Jackie has been helping Mountain Partners for its China Initiative since 2007 where he devoted valuable resources and energies to grow Taishan Invest into a full strength operation in China. Prior to Taishan, He served as a Vice President at China Venture investment banking division and a Director at Red Herring Magazine for it Asia Pacific operations. Jackie also worked with Analysys international Consulting and Walt Disney World. He holds an MBA from Western Kentucky University and Bachelor from Liaoning University of Technology.

Ramon Feng

(Director Investment Advisory)

Ramon joined Taishan in 2009 as the Director of Investment Advisory. Prior to Taishan, he worked at RWB Private Capital, DVB Bank, Independent Research and Siemens VDO in Germany. Ramon has been involved in or (co-)founded several start-ups both in China and Germany, especially in the internet, education and travel sectors. Based on the business and private life for more than 10 years in Europe, he successfully co-founded “Chinese Competence - Investment and Finance Professionals Association”, which has become an interactive stage for outstanding overseas Chinese professionals. Ramon graduated as Diplom-Betriebswirt in Business Administration from University of Applied Sciences Frankfurt.

Kelly Mingyu Liu

(Investment Manager)

Kelly joined Taishan in early 2009 as a investment manager. Prior to Taishan, she was the general manager of the Overseas Dept. of China Finance Net. She worked on PIDINVER CHINA, which is held by ICEX in 2007 and EU-China Partenariat 2006. Kelly Liu is experienced in international business cooperation, government projects, connection and public relations. She also used to be an entrepreneur herself.

Jimmy Zhang

(Junior Investment Manager)

Kelly joined Taishan Angel management team in 2009, mainly responsible for deal flow management. Before this, she was the general manager of overseas Dept. of China Finance Net. She used to work on PIDINVER – CHINA, held by ICEX in 2007 and EU-China Partenariat 2006.
