Raymond Lei Yang

(Founding Partner)

Raymond is a successful serial entrepreneur in China. After founding several companies both in China and US, he became the CEO of Linktone (NASDAQ: LTON) in 2003. He turned the company around and only 11 months after he joined Linktone he successfully took the company public on the NASDAQ and since grew Linktone into a high profit and high growth company. Prior to founding Taishan, Raymond was an active Business Angel and Venture Partner at Northern Light Venture Capital, managing a US$120 million venture fund. He also received many awards, such as "China Top 10 CEOs", "2005 Most Influential People to New Economy“ and “2007 Best Angel Investor”. Mr. Yang is also the founding partner and Managing Director of WestSummit Capital Management, which focuses on the global technology PE investment with China Angle.

Sebastian Kübler

(Founding Partner)

Sebastian is an entrepreneur and active investor in the area of Internet related businesses - both in Europe and in China. He made his first experiences in China in 2003 and since then has built a strong passion for the country. In 2005, he founded his first own company (lead generation). Since 2006, Sebastian is active with Business Angel investments and co-founded Taishan Angel, China's first institutionalized Business Angel Fund in 2008 together with Raymond Lei Yang and Jackie Chen. He graduated from European School of Business (ESB) and Lancaster University Management School with distinction (Prize for Outstanding Overall Performance) and currently works on his PhD about Business Angels in China.

Jackie Liang Chen

(Founding Partner)

Jackie has been devoting valuable resources and energies to grow Taishan Angel into a full strength operation in China from the first day. He is responsible for general management and investments in Taishan. Prior to Taishan, he served as a Vice President at China Venture Investment Banking Division and a Director at Red Herring Magazine for its Asia Pacific operations. Jackie also worked with Analysys international Consulting and Walt Disney. He holds an MBA from Western Kentucky University and Bachelor from Liaoning University of Technology.

Ramon Feng

(Director Investment Advisory)

Ramon joined Taishan in 2009 as the Director of Investment Advisory. Prior to Taishan, he worked at RWB Private Capital, DVB Bank, Independent Research and Siemens VDO in Germany. Ramon has been involved in or (co-)founded several start-ups both in China and Germany, especially in the internet, education and travel sectors. Based on the business and private life for more than 10 years in Europe, he successfully co-founded “Chinese Competence - Investment and Finance Professionals Association”, which has become an interactive stage for outstanding overseas Chinese professionals. Ramon graduated as Diplom-Betriebswirt in Business Administration from University of Applied Sciences Frankfurt.

Kelly Mingyu Liu

(Investment Director)

Kelly joined Taishan in early 2009 as a investment manager. Prior to Taishan, she was the general manager of the Overseas Dept. of China Finance Net. She worked on PIDINVER CHINA, which is held by ICEX in 2007 and EU-China Partenariat 2006. Kelly Liu is experienced in international business cooperation, government projects, connection and public relations. She also used to be an entrepreneur herself.

Jimmy Zhang

(Investment Manager)

Jimmy joined Taishan team in 2009. Prior to Taishan, he worked at IDC (China) management consulting for the internet, e-commerce and technology sectors. Prior, he was responsible for analysis and research of wireless internet industry at CITIC Securities Co., Limited. At Accenture Consulting he was involved in many SAP projects. During the study at Peking University (PKU), Jimmy (co-)founded several start-ups and spin-offs. He holds a Master (M.S.) of Peking University (PKU) and a Bachelor (B.S.) in Engineering of PLA Information Engineering University (PLA IEU).
